We'll say it outright: this is the best-value stay in this article! It scores 9.2/10 and ranks #2 in Taipei on TripAdvisor. Exit 3 is a 1-minute walk away. The freebies are endless — free laundry, free coffee, free drinks, even free instant noodles late at night! The rooms are styled by PIZZA CUT FIVE, a hip Taipei street brand. The bright-orange Orange Hotel has so many freebies it's almost startling! There's free ice cream, fruit, drinks and snacks in the basement lounge, open all day. The most surprising part: you enter your room with a QR code on the LINE app — no key card to lose. There's a breakfast voucher for Mos Burger or Louisa Cafe, and the 1961A bus to Jiufen stops right outside the hotel!

If you want a spacious room with a Jacuzzi tub at an easy price — Burgary is the answer! The rooms are much bigger than other hotels at the same price, and the Deluxe rooms have an onsen-style soaking tub — very hard to find at this price! Free breakfast is included in the room rate, and there's on-site parking too (a real rarity in Ximending!).

An aviation-themed hotel that's very photogenic for Instagram! It sits directly opposite the Ximending Shopping District — cross the street and you're there. Exits 2–3 are a 2-minute walk. The rooms are clean and bigger than you'd expect for the price. Every room has a Japanese bidet and a heating system for winter, and the staff speak excellent English and are very friendly.

Hotel Puri sits on a quiet lane in the true heart of Ximending — undisturbed for sleeping, yet under 2 minutes' walk to the night market. Its biggest draw is its 57 rooms, no two designed alike, each with its own artwork — and there's a free in-room washing machine (very hard to find at NT$1,500!). Many guests come back year after year because they love the staff.

If you picked on service alone — Tomorrow Hotel is the champion! Every review names the staff as the first highlight. Many guests describe being upgraded for free without even asking, and sometimes being handed ice cream and dessert as a surprise! It sits right in front of the Red House Theater, the first-floor lounge is lovely, and free coffee and water are available all day.

A budget stay cheaper than this that's still genuinely in Ximending is very hard to find! Good 9 Stay is on the 5th floor of a building on Lane 27 — the same lane as Hotel Puri — and it's just a 1-minute walk from Exit 6, one minute! Every room is private, not a dorm, each with its own artwork, giving a premium-hostel feel. The staff are on 24 hours, the Wi-Fi is good, and drinking water is free.
