If you want to stay as close to Sarika Waterfall as possible, this is the place — 100 metres from the resort entrance to the waterfall itself, no car needed. It scores 9.0 on Trip.com and 9.3 on Agoda. The Deluxe Paradise rooms let you open the curtain from bed and look directly at Sarika Waterfall — but there are only 2 of them, so book ahead. The à la carte breakfast served by the stream and the mountain-view pool are two other highlights that guests mention repeatedly.

The Midst is a cluster of two-storey townhouse stays set inside Royal Hills Golf Course, scoring 8.3 from 82 reviews. What guests consistently say is that the ceilings are far higher and the spaces far wider than expected for the price. Full-height glass doors open directly onto the fairway and mountain ridge — open the curtain in the morning and you get what many guests describe as a living painting on the wall. The spa earns specific praise for quality, and the location puts Khun Dan Dam, Wang Takrai Park and Nang Rong Waterfall about 10–15 minutes away.

Phumontra Resort opened in 2019 in the Hin Tang area, sitting on the Nakhon Nayok River right at the Kaeng Sam Chan rapids stretch. Teak-wood gabled villas in a shaded garden are the visual centrepiece, scoring 8.0 on Trip.com. It's just a 450-metre walk to the white-water launch point, with a saltwater pool and free bikes on site. The family teak villas — high vaulted ceilings, timber walls throughout, garden terrace — are what guests talk about most.

Wangree Resort spreads across roughly 500 rai of forest and hillside in Khao Phra sub-district, just about 90km from Bangkok — scoring 7.8 from 186 reviews. Food grown in the resort's own organic farm is what guests mention most: fresh vegetables, home-style cooking, breakfast by the pond in an open pavilion. Pets are welcome (one of the very few places in the Nakhon Nayok area that allows this). There's an outdoor pool and salt sauna. The tradeoff is that some rooms are older and maintenance isn't consistent.

Online reviews are still limited and scores are mixed — 6.1 from 3 Trip.com reviews — so it's worth approaching with open eyes, but for design and photography lovers, it's unlike anything else in the province.
