Koh Lanta has no BTS, MRT or train, and no airport on the island — Ko Lanta Yai is now reached entirely by road over two bridges (the Lanta Bridge from the mainland to Ko Lanta Noi, then the Siri Lanta Bridge to Ko Lanta Yai; the old car ferries closed in 2016). Drive or minivan from Krabi Airport (KBV) about 1.5–2 hours, or Krabi Town / Ao Nang about 2 hours. In high season there are also passenger ferries from Krabi, Phi Phi and Phuket to Saladan pier. On the island there is no Grab and only a limited songthaew, and the southern beaches sit at the far end with the beaches spread out, so rent a scooter or car.
