Top score in this article at 9.4 — Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort is the property formerly known as Zeavola, rebranded and refreshed, reopened in mid-2026. It sits at the far northern tip of the island on Laem Tong Beach, quiet and well away from the bustle of Tonsai. The team kept Zeavola's pitched-roof teakwood villa frames and refreshed the rooms — 63 in all, spread through green gardens along a white-sand beach. There are 2 pools, two restaurants and a spa, and the reef just off the beach is snorkellable at low tide. You reach it by the resort's shuttle boat, and in some seasons there's a direct boat from Phuket.
- ✓ Laem Tong Beach is quiet, white-sand and clear — far fewer people than Tonsai
- ✓ Spacious teakwood villas set among gardens, a leafy, calm feel
- ✓ Attentive, friendly staff who help arrange boat and dive trips
- ✓ Snorkel the reef straight off the beach at low tide
- ✗ Food and drink in the resort run pricey, with nowhere outside to eat nearby
- ✗ Every trip in or out means a boat — awkward if you want to explore other bays
- ✗ Just reopened after a rebrand, so some services are still being ironed out
