Koh Lanta has no BTS, MRT or train, and no airport on the island — Ko Lanta Yai is now reached entirely by road over two bridges (the Lanta Bridge from the mainland to Ko Lanta Noi, then the Siri Lanta Bridge to Ko Lanta Yai — the old car ferries closed in 2016). Drive or minivan from Krabi Airport (KBV) about 1.5–2 hr, or from Krabi Town / Ao Nang about 2 hr. In high season there are also passenger ferries from Krabi, Phi Phi and Phuket into Saladan pier. Klong Dao is the closest beach to Saladan pier — it's only a few minutes' drive from the pier to your hotel, and several stays are within a walk or a cycle of town. On the island there is no Grab and only a limited songthaew, so rent a scooter or car — Koh Lanta is long and the beaches are spread out north to south.
